Cooking delicious and tender hedgehogs is extremely simple. The ingredients for this dish can be found in the refrigerator of every housewife.

These meatballs got their name for rice, which imitates thorns. It is added to the minced meat raw or boiled until half-cooked. Long rice looks especially impressive. In the process of cooking, the rice grains are completely steamed, but at the same time, the hedgehogs do not lose their shape.

You can prepare the dish in a slow cooker, pan, oven or saucepan. In the latter case, they are cooked with gravy, which makes meatballs especially juicy and tasty.

Forcemeat for meatballs can be any: pork, beef, chicken or mixed. If you are preparing this dish for a child, it is better to cook the minced meat yourself. So you will be sure of its quality.

Spices, salt, finely chopped onions and rice are added to the minced meat. Then everything is thoroughly kneaded. Small balls are formed with wet hands from the resulting mass.
