Thin waffles - general principles of preparation

To make the wafers thin, crunchy, but not break when twisted, you need to knead the correct dough. It can be prepared from a wide variety of products. For friable pastries add a lot of butter or margarine. Such waffles are obtained sandy, delicate, tasty, but quite fat and high-calorie, a little dirty hands. From the test on milk, kefir, sour cream, not so friable wafers are obtained, but not fatty, they are lighter.

What else is put in the dough:

• eggs (but there are recipes without them, one can be found below);

• sugar (added for taste and color);

• flour, starch (give the desired consistency).

The dough for waffles is kneading liquid, but thicker than on pancakes. It should resemble liquid sour cream. About one tablespoon takes about three tablespoons per medium. In many ways, the size also depends on the type of waffle iron. Thin waffles can be cooked on electrical appliances or in a simple double pan with a clamp designed for these products.

Typically, thin wafers are baked for subsequent filling with creams, boiled condensed milk or other sweets. You can make the filling to your taste. But the tube needs to be rolled up immediately, while the cake is warm and supple. Sometimes a mat or towel is used to make the tubes smoother.

Thin wafers in butter or margarine

The recipe for a simple shortcrust pastry for thin wafers. It can be kneaded in butter or on any margarine. Cakes are crispy, delicious.

Ingredients

• 180 grams of butter or good margarine;

• five eggs;

• 1.5 tbsp. flour;

• 0.7 cups of sugar.

Cooking

1. Melt the butter (margarine). You can do this in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove. We are leaving. Let it cool to a warm state.

2. Beat eggs with sugar until smooth. Sugar can be taken a little less, for example, 0.5 cups. Or a little more, for example, a full glass. Waffles are sweeter.

3. Add the cooled melted butter, stir.

4. We fill in prescription flour. Stir and the dough is ready! The consistency should be not very thick sour cream.

5. Pour a little dough on the heated surface of the waffle iron, close, bake until golden brown.

6. Take out the waffle. Quickly pour the second portion of the dough, and while it is baking, twist the tube from the first wafer. Fill with condensed milk or any cream.

Thin waffles in milk

Dough recipe for thin wafers in whole milk. They turn out not so crispy, but also tasty and less high-calorie. Only one spoonful of oil is added, take refined vegetable. These waffles are also great for twisting.

Ingredients

• 2 eggs;

• 0.1 kg of sugar;

• 200 grams of wheat flour .;

• a spoonful of oil;

• 240 grams of milk;

• vanilla.

Cooking

1. Break the eggs into a large bowl, add granulated sugar to them and beat them lightly with a fork or whisk.

2. Add milk at room temperature, stir.

3. Pour in flour and a bag of vanillin. Or take a few drops of vanilla extract.

4. Stir the dough well. Once it becomes homogeneous, pour a spoonful of vegetable oil.

5. Re-stir, set aside. Let stand for five minutes, and you can start baking thin wafers.

Thin wafers on kefir

Another recipe for not very fatty, but tasty and thin waffles. No kefir? Feel free to use fermented baked milk or yogurt. With them, everything also works out perfectly.

Ingredients

• a glass of kefir;

• two eggs;

• 100 grams of sugar;

• 1-1.2 cups flour;

• a bag of vanilla;

• a spoonful of oil plus for lubrication.

Cooking

1. We take kefir into the heat half an hour before kneading the dough. You can put it in warm, but not in hot water. Let it heat up.

2. Break the eggs, which should also not be cold, add sugar and vanilla, thoroughly shake with a fork or spoon. We mix until the grains are completely dissolved, but try not to beat.

3. Add the flour. Pour one glass. Sometimes this amount is enough, it all depends on the size of the eggs and the density of kefir. If the dough turns out to be liquid, then add two more spoons.

4. At the very end, pour the butter before baking.

5. Since there is practically no fat in the dough, grease the waffle iron. Warm up.

6. Pour the dough, bake thin waffles. We turn them into tubes, corners or rolls, optionally fill them with filling.

Chocolate wafers with mineral water

A cool recipe for thin wafers, which differs not only in the addition of cocoa, but also in the presence of mineral water in the dough. You can bake such waffles in an electric appliance or on a stove, in any case everything works out perfectly.

Ingredients

• 3 eggs;

• 2 tbsp. flour;

• a glass of mineral water;

• 100 g of oil;

• a glass of milk;

• 2 tablespoons of cocoa (carob can);

• 4 tablespoons of sugar;

• some vanilla.

Cooking

1. At the very beginning, melt the oil so that it has time to cool. Or we take ordinary margarine.

2. Mix eggs with sugar until smooth, dilute with milk. Pour the melted butter.

3. Separately combine wheat flour with cocoa powder and vanilla (optional). Stir to prevent cocoa lumps from appearing in the dough.

4. Add the flour, begin to stir the dough and in the process add mineral water with gases. Quickly stir the dough, but do not beat.

5. Lubricate the waffle iron.

6. Pour chocolate dough with a ladle or a large spoon. We bake beautiful and thin waffles. Turn off while they are warm.

Thin honey waffles

A recipe for delicious honey waffles. They turn out thin, crispy and rosy. Additionally, potato starch is needed for the dough.

Ingredients

• 2 eggs;

• 120 ml of honey;

• 80 grams of flour;

• 100 g of oil;

• 50 grams of starch;

• a pinch of salt.

Cooking

1. Heat the oil to a liquid state, cool. You can replace it with margarine in this test.

2. Heat the honey very slightly so that it becomes thinner. You can just hold it over a bowl of hot water.

3. Add eggs to honey. Beat well with a whisk so that the mass becomes homogeneous.

4. Add a pinch of salt while continuing to stir the future dough.

5. Pour the previously prepared butter, continue to interfere.

6. Combine the flour with potato starch, pour into the dough.

7. Stir, send to the refrigerator for a quarter of an hour, let it brew.

8. Take a spoonful of honey dough, put it on the heated and greased surface of the waffle iron, bake until it is rosy.

Thin waffles without eggs

The recipe for thin and crispy waffles, which are prepared without eggs and without egg powder. Butter is optionally replaced with margarine.

Ingredients

• 125 g margarine;

• 2 tbsp. millet flour .;

• 2 tbsp. milk (approximate amount);

• 1 tbsp. Sahara;

• vanilla.

Cooking

1. Put the margarine for the dough into a cup, melt in the microwave. Or we warm on a stove in a saucepan.

2. Add sugar and vanilla to margarine, stir well. At will, we throw a small pinch of salt to make the wafers taste brighter.

3. Now pour one glass of milk, while the second we leave. The temperature does not matter, you can take milk from the refrigerator.

4. Pour flour, stir the dough.

5. Pour a second glass of milk, but do not add all at once. We achieve the desired consistency.

6. Cover the bowl (or saucepan) with the finished dough, send it to the refrigerator for half an hour.

7. We take out the dough, stir well. We collect with a spoon, pour on the heated surface of the waffle iron. We bake thin and fragrant cakes.

Thin curd waffles "Spider line" with serum

Cottage cheese is added to the dough, but if desired, the filling can also be prepared from it. Wafers are very thin, like a spider web, baked incredibly quickly.

Ingredients

• 1 tbsp. l cottage cheese;

• 2 tbsp. l Sahara;

• wheat flour;

• 1 tbsp. l softened oil;

• 1 tsp starch;

• 150 ml of serum.

Cooking

1. Thoroughly grind the cottage cheese, add sugar, whey, softened butter.

2. Fill the dough with flour and starch, mix thoroughly. It should turn out liquid, almost like pancakes.

3. Pour a little dough on the waffle iron, distribute, close.

4. Products are fried very quickly, set the lowest temperature.

Lean Thin Waffles

Recipe for vegetarians and fasting people. For the filling, you can use dried fruits, jam, nuts with honey.

Ingredients

• a couple of glasses of flour;

• 0.5 tsp turmeric for a beautiful color;

• vanilla and salt;

• 350 grams of water;

• 2/3 of a standard glass of sugar;

• 100 ml of vegetable oil;

• soda 0.3 tsp

Cooking

1. The dough is kneaded in a very interesting way: combine flour with turmeric, sugar, vegetable oil, throw in the same salt and a little vanilla. Grind the mixture to obtain crumbs.

2. Add water of room temperature to the obtained crumb, beat everything until smooth with a mixer. Or just take a spoon and rub well.

3. Fill the mass with slaked soda, stir.

4. Lubricate the waffle iron with vegetable oil, bake cakes on a heated surface.

Thin waffles - useful tips and tricks

• Need to make softer and more tender waffles? Add to them a little baking powder, two pinches are enough.

• How to twist a wafer with a cone or corner while it is hot? Cover the cake with paper, fold it together, then carefully remove the sheet.

• Do not rush to fill the wafers with cream fillings, first cool the blanks well, you can hold them in the refrigerator for several minutes, otherwise the filling will leak.
